Just dived with William and had a great experience! It had been a few years since my last dive so I was a bit nervous but William was super nice and clear with explaining the equipment and refreshing the skills practice with me at the start. He was really calm and vigilant, making sure I was ok regularly and showing cool stuff along the way, making it a relaxing and enjoyable experience! The visibility was much better than I thought it would be and the water was warm so didn't need a wetsuit (even though I usually get cold easily) and we saw unique fish, lots of life around the tyres, suphur gases and bubbles. The bottom was squishy and warm! Really recommend others to come visit, very different to sea diving!

Highly memorable experience to dive in a volcanic crater! William couldn't have been easier to communicate with, accommodating our last minute arrangements via WhatsApp - very relaxed but professional throughout. Equipment was good, we walked down to the lake (a balmy 28 degrees) & had fun spotting some of the lagoon's endemic fish, watching William create sulphur bubbles & show us how active (& hot) the floor still is! Very interesting & different ($70 for two of us).

Volcano with William! Great experience to dive the Apoyo Lagoon. Booking process was really smooth using whatsapp. Clear responses and short turnaround time. Dive center was easy find and is located downstairs a beautiful and elegant mansion. Equipment was ready when I arrived and it was in good condition. We walked a very short trip to the beach and started the dive there. Mostly sandy bottom with some car tires sunk on purpose to attract schools of fishes. Many small and some bigger endemic fishes, one crab and it think one was catfish and high was interested in the sulfur which came through sand when Willian poked holes to the bottom. Also at one place there were bubbles coming through the sand. Temperature was 29 Celsius and it was warmer if you stuck your hand in a he in the same. It was vulcanic lagoon. They have PADI instructor in place so this is a perfect place to practice divine with clear, fresh, calm and warm water with sandy bottom and short distance from the studio. I was diving solo with William but they can accommodate up to 10 divers at a time. I highly recommend this as an interesting experience and as well as an extraordinary diving story like no other. After the dive there was shower inside the mansion and fresh Nicaraguan coffee. Thank you William!

This was an incredibly and unique opportunity to scuba dive inside a volcano lake. In which the volcano is still active enough that you can feel the heat at the bottom of the crater as well as the varied fish unique in all the world, it was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend it if someone wants to try something off the beaten path and very unique

Such a unique experience!!!! We just dove with William this morning and it was fantastic. Very easy chill dive, saw fish that can only be found in this lake and saw all the gas bubbles. Good gear and William was a great dive master. If you come to this lake, it's definitely worth diving, my first fresh water dive and now I've been diving in a volcano and got to see gas bubbles underwater. Unfortunately there's some trash on the beach from others. They've been trying their best to keep it clean but had their bins stolen. We saw a review complaining about the trash and I wish the reviewer could be more aware and empathetic instead of writing a bad review.
